MAM®  KNIVES – FILMAM LDA is a 5th generation family-owned business, from Palaçoulo - Miranda do Douro in Portugal.

With more than 150 years of history combining the legacy of its ancestors with constant innovation always searching for new processes, materials and developing new products. 

In business since 1870, MAM is one of the main and oldest knives and cutlery manufacturers in the world .

MAM manufactures all types of cutleries, kitchen knives and utensils for chefs as well as world-renowned folding, pocket and hunting knives.

All our products are made in our own factory in Portugal.

With 150+ years of tradition, MAM pocketknives are famous all over the world, like the Palaçoula also known as Operario by users and workers.

Our models range from this rustic main lines to a more innovative and high-end models with noble woods and titanium coated, and MAM´s blade lock innovative system f0or maximum security. These premium lines are Titanium, Woodlovers and Artisan. 

In between MAM has its heritage models like Douro line that ranges from mini to hunter’s size (105mm blade). Also our spanish inspired line Iberica ranging from mini up to 90mm with blade lock and our outdoor, fishing and hunting lines.

Our knives range from the traditional kitchen knives, made with stainless steel and beech wood or pressed wood handle. These blades vary from 65mm to 130mm.

The following knives have long lasting handles made from black or white magnum. Occasionally other color are available. 

The handles of methacrylate allow modern paterns for some more glow in you kitchen. 

We also offer a professional forged steel line, with blades from 100mm to 305mm.

Our tableware are known by the premium cut given by the saw in the blade. Commoly used in restaurants to highlight the quality of the products such as the meat and for beautiful tables. 

In the traditional lines the hadles are made of wood or pressed wood.

For more durability we developed tableware with magnum handles, available in diferent colours. These are the Douro end Regional tableware lines.

The premium tableware have a methacrylate handle, for a modern table look. These is the Iberico line.
